“From the San Diego coast to the Central Coast—Elena is ready to Learn by Doing.”
In the fall, Elena will move to San Luis Obispo to attend California Polytechnic State University. She will study Kinesiology with a minor in Sports Communications, bringing together the parts of life that have shaped her most: athletics, health, storytelling, and connection.
After years of learning what healthy competition can look like, Elena is excited to explore sports medicine, human performance, and the kind of work that helps athletes feel strong, seen, and supported.
San Diego to San Luis Obispo
Cal Poly felt right because it offered the mix Elena wanted: strong academics, hands-on learning, a sports medicine path, and a laid-back Central Coast environment that still feels close to who she is.
She is excited for dorm life, human performance labs, new friends, beach volleyball, and figuring out who she becomes when she is not just “Elena from San Diego.”
What Comes Next
Elena is carrying her family's love, her Suncrest memories, and her own hard-earned confidence into this next chapter. She is excited, a little nervous, and ready to build a life that feels like her.
